Padding & Thickness - Medium-padded watch straps are about 4 mm thick at the lugs. Fully-padded watch straps are about 5 mm at the lugs. Watch straps with both types of padding generally "thin down" to between 3 and 4 mm at the buckle.

Buckle sizes - 16 mm watch straps have 16 mm buckles; 18 mm watch straps have 16 mm buckles; 20 mm watch straps have 18 mm buckles; the 22 mm watch Italian-made watch straps have 18 mm buckles. Except the Bros Croco- Sport which has 20 mm buckles on the 22 mm watchstrap.
