This is the very first year Accutron Astronaut made. This particular model is extremely difficult to find. The watch is original and in mint condition. Many other sellers claim they have a mint Accutron but their watches aren’t close to the condition of this piece.

Case & Bezel: The case and bezel look very close to NOS. The back, setting crown, battery hatch and bezel all have the correct factory graining. The bezel is sharp, turns freely and is near perfect. There are NO dings or dents in the case or lugs. This watch also has the rare snap crown and three prong battery hatch spring.

Hands, Crystal and Dial: The hands and dial are absolutely perfect. The luminous on the dial is perfect, original and free of any patina. Please note; the dial luminous is original and doesn’t glow as it did 40+ years ago. I purposely left the luminous alone to maintain it’s originality. The crystal is perfect and free of any scratches.

Movement: The movement is 100% original and is keeping excellent time. It’s stamped H by the factory denoting that it’s a hack movement. The movement was serviced and adjusted to run properly on the readily available 387 S battery.

Strap: This watch comes with a gorgeous hand made genuine shark strap and premium quality stainless steel deployant clasp from www.mywatchmaker.net

If your looking for a near perfect and original example of an Accutron Astronaut this is it. The price includes a 1 year warranty on labor only.
