Accutron Spaceview

The above photo is a breakdown of a poorly done Accutron Spaceview conversion sold on ebay. This Accutron Spaceview was offered by an ebay seller as serviced, original and mint.
Upon receiving this Accutron Spaceview from a customer it’s immediately apparent this watch was an improperly done Accutron Spaceview conversion. The hack spring was left on the movement indicating this Accutron Spaceview was originally a dialed Railroad model. A few other things that are cause for concern is the reused and broken case back gasket, poorly done and incorrect replacement Accutron Spaceview crystal, incorrect style & length replacement hands and incorrect and cheaply made Accutron Spaceview dial spacer. Lastly, this watch was NEVER serviced.
This breakdown of an Accutron Spaceview is just one example of the endless amounts of poorly done Accutron Spaceview conversions sold through other web stores and on ebay. If you purchase your Accutron Spaceview through me you’ll have the piece of mind knowing it’s properly serviced, factory correct and carries a one year labor warranty.
Question: Why is the so-called "Spaceview" on the left not a correct factory Spaceview?
Answer: That watch has the wrong coil, the wrong pillar plate, and that particular model of Accutron was never made by Bulova as a Spaceview.
The Spaceview above was sold to one of my customers as a "factory correct" Spaceview. In fact, it isn’t a "factory correct" Spaceview.
Either the seller didn’t know enough about the Accutron Spaceview, or simply didn’t care that it wasn’t correct.
Some sellers use fancy graphics and hype -- using terms such as gold-tone movement or silver chapter ring to hide the fact that the watches they are selling are not "factory correct" and are overpriced for what they really are. The buyer doesn’t get what he thinks he’s getting, and the seller is just putting extra profit into his or her pocket.
