Expert Watchmaker Services by H. Ray Starkey

I can provide you with expert service for all makes of fine watches including Rolex, Vacheron & Constantin, IWC, Patek Phillipe, modern and vintage

When I service your watch I completely dissasemble it and inspect all parts in the movement for wear or damage. Each part is then cleaned and the watch is re-assembled, lubricated and timed. Cases are cleaned and refinished and scratched plastic crystals are either polished or replaced.

All watches I service are warranted for 1 year on the work performed*.

* the only "fine print" on my warranty is that parts subject to normal wear such as crystals and straps are not covered under this warranty, nor is damage due to physical abuse of the watch

Shipping your watch

To ship your watch to me, please pack the watch well and please make certain you insure it appropriately.

I personally use either U.S. Postal Service Registered Mail or U.S. Postal Service Priority Mail and insure the watch for its full value. As the USPS notes on it’s website, the Hope Diamond was shipped via USPS Registered Mail

When I ship watches or jewelry, I wrap the piece carefully in bubble or foam wrap and put it in a suitably- sized box surrounded by styrofoam "peanuts."

Please do not send your watch in it’s original box, and make certain you enclose a letter with your name, address and contact information (telephone number and e-mail address) and a brief description of the work you would like done.

please e-mail me before* shipping your watch …

*that gives both of us of a record of when your watch was sent and lets me know when I can expect to receive it.
